Thailand 2007 Holiday Map

This is the most recent trip that I have made to Thailand (though Bird has made a couple of visits since then) It was during this visit that we made the appllication for a civil partnership visa which, thankfully was granted, enabling us to fly back to the UK together

We set out from our usual hotel in

Bangkok and took the bus to

Kanchanaburi by the famous river

Kwai. After a few days here we took

a local 3rd class train back to

Bangkok before boarding an

overnight sleeper train to Chiang

Mai in the North - we stayed a few

days and then hired a car and

moved on to Chiang Rai to visit

Bird’s aunt and cousin. After this we

drove back to Bangkok by way of

one of the oldest cities in Thailand.

Having loved Kanchanaburi we used

the car to return there for a few

days to explore a little more - I have

split the slideshow into two
